Ms. Davis and Mrs. Reeves are collaborating with the national GE Foundation NASA-NSTA Math and Science Integration Project. Along with several other initiatives, there are some great things happening, especially as related to our Earth in Space curriculum.
 The REMOTE (robotic) team, hard at work. | The Challenger Center at Shawnee worked with the GE Foundation to give 30 of the students a chance to experience what it would be like to work on a real space expedition. The kids were able to see STEM careers in action (STEM = science, technology, engineering, mathematics). These are some of the most important careers in the workforce today. Plus, they just had a blast. |
